Keysight / Agilent N5115B Overview
Simulate real world fading conditions
Baseband Studio for fading is a modern signal-processing tool that delivers realistic channel simulation for advanced receiver test applications. Use the software to fade baseband signals digitally, add AWGN, and play them back as analog I/Q or upconvert to RF using the E4438C ESG or E8267C/D PSG vector signal generator. When combined with the N5102A digital signal interface module, this baseband fader can accept a digital I/Q input signal for fading or provide a faded digital I/Q output for baseband transceiver test.
The baseband fading technique utilized by N5115B eliminates spurs and images caused by the up and down conversions of traditional RF faders and improves test stimulus repeatability. Choose from preset fading profiles for popular communications formats, such as W-CDMA, cdma2000, WLAN, 802.16 (WiMAX) and more, and easily configure custom fading profiles to meet your specific test needs.
