Keysight / Agilent N7602B Overview
Agilent Validated and Performance Optimized GSM/EDGE Reference Signals
The N7602B Signal Studio for GSM/EDGE PC-based software simplifies the creation of standard compliant 3GPP GSM, EDGE and EGPRS2 (EDGE Evolution) test signals which are validated and optimized for both component and receiver design verification and testing. Choose from a broad collection of predefined physical layer setups or use the intuitive graphical interface (GUI) to quickly configure a variety of signal parameters to effectively test your device.
Component test:
- Generates physical layer signals with variable and selectable modulation types, burst types, and power levels to accurately stress and test a device.
- Waveforms can be configured for continuous or bursted operation, with single or multiple modulation types, and with adjustable pre- and post-filter clipping.
Receiver test:
- Simplified through the creation of transport channel coded signals suitable for base station or mobile device receiver test.
- Supports 13, 26 and 52 multi-frame structures with full channel coding for BER testing. Using a modified 13 or 26 multi-frame structure with a 2x OSR the software can support a continuous PN9 sequence for BTS BER Rx testing.
- For control channel generation, a 51 multi-frame waveform can be generated including standard combined BCH channel contents (FCCH + SCH + BCCH + CCCH or FCCH + SCH + BCCH + CCCH + SDCCH + SACCH).
Signal Creation
- Single- and multi-carrier arbitrary waveform GSM/EDGE/EGPRS2 (EDGE Evolution) test signals
- Basic mode for mobile and base station component modulation and power testing
- Advanced mode for mobile and base station receiver testing with transport-channel coding
- Adjustable timeslot parameters: power level, burst types (GSM, EDGE or EGPRS2; EDGE Evolution), data offsets, and multi-slot feature to maintain power
