Keysight / Agilent Z5623AK09 Overview

The Z5623AK09 distribution amplifier enables two Agilent ESG signal generators to operate in a phase locked and coherent mode at a common frequency. It operates in two bands: 250 MHz to 4 GHz and 4 to 6 GHz. Note that in order to utilize the 4 to 6 GHz band, the E4438C ESG signal generators must be equipped with Options 506, HCC and HBC.

The distribution amplifier takes an oscillator signal from one “master” signal source, amplifies it and distributes it to multiple other “slave” signal sources. The distribution amplifier has two modes of operation: Distribution Mode and Calibration Mode. The mode of operation is manually selected with a switch on the front panel.

In Distribution Mode, there is 1 RF input, 2 RF outputs. In Calibration Mode, there are 2 RF inputs and 2 RF outputs. Each RF input connects directly to its own corresponding RF output.
