Newport 850F, M-UMR8.25 Overview
Newport 850F Actuator
The 850F actuator incorporates a versatile design which can be
configured with travel limits from as little as aproximetely 1/32 inch to 2 inches
(0.8mm-50mm), enabling it to be used on a wide variety of Newport translation
stages and mirror mounts. Mechanical limit
switches cut motor power preventing accidental over-travel. The actuator incorporates a manual actuation
knob for coarse adjustments (with the motor off).

The M-UMR8.25 Precision Double-Row Ball
Bearing Metric Linear Stage features steel construction for high stability
and rigidity. The ball bearings and precision-ground bearing surfaces provide
exceptional linear travel, with angular deviation better than 100-200 µrad.
UMR8 Series Stages have double-row ball bearings making them an excellent
choice for carrying high loads up to 900 N. The moving carriage is preloaded
by two springs to ensure constant micrometer contact for smooth,
backlash-free motion over a 25 mm travel range.
